PARASHAT: Vayiqra 16:1 - 18:30

AND YAHUAH spoke unto Mo­sheh after the death of the two sons of Aharon, when they offered before YAHUAH, and died; 2 And YAHUAH said unto El-Mosheh, Speak unto El-Aharon your brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the Ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat. 3 Thus shall Aharon come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering. 4 He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen turban shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash את eth-his flesh in water, and so put them on. 5 And he shall take of the assembly of the children of Yisra’el two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering. 6 And Aharon shall offer את eth-his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house. 7 And he shall take את eth-the two goats, and present them before YAHUAH at the door of the Tabernacle of the assembly. 8 And Aharon shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for YAHUAH, and the other lot for Aza’zel.[i] 9 And Aharon shall bring את eth-the goat upon which YAHUAH’S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.  10 But the goat, on which the lot fell to be for Aza’zel, shall be presented alive before YAHUAH, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for Aza’zel into the wilderness. 11 And Aharon shall bring את eth-the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill את eth-the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself: 12 And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before YAHUAH, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the vail: 13 And he shall put את eth-the incense upon the fire before YAHUAH, that the cloud of the incense may cover את eth-the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not: 14 And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.

15 Then shall he kill את eth-the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring את eth-his blood within the vail, and do with את eth-that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat: 16 And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Yisra’el, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the Tabernacle of the assembly, that remains among them in the midst of their uncleanness. 17 And there shall be no man in the Tabernacle of the assembly when he goes in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the assembly of Yisra’el. 18 And he shall go out unto the altar that is before YAHUAH, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about. 19 And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Yisra’el.

20 And when he has made an end of reconciling את eth-the holy place, and את eth-the Tabernacle of the assembly, and את eth-the altar, he shall bring את eth-the live goat: 21 And Aharon shall את eth-lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him את eth-all the iniquities of the children of Yisra’el, and את eth-all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness: 22 And the goat shall bear upon him את eth-all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go את eth-the goat in the wilderness. 23 And Aharon shall come into the Tabernacle of the assembly, and shall put off את eth-the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there: 24 And he shall wash את eth-his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on את eth-his garments, and come forth, and offer את eth-his burnt offering, and את eth-the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people. 25 And את eth-the fat of the sin offering shall he burn upon the altar. 26 And he that let go את eth-the goat for Aza’zel shall wash his clothes, and bathe את eth-his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp. 27 And את eth-the bullock for the sin offering, and את eth-the goat for the sin offering, את eth-whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire את eth-their skins, and את eth-their flesh, and את eth-their dung. 28 And he that burns them shall wash his clothes, and bathe את eth-his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

29 And this shall be a statute forever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict את eth-your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourns among you: 30 For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before YAHUAH. 31 It shall be a Shabbat of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict את eth-your souls, by a statute forever. 32 And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate את eth-to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on את eth-the linen clothes, even the holy garments: 33 And he shall make an atonement for את eth-the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for את eth-the Tabernacle of the assembly, and for את eth-the altar, and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the assembly. 34 And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Yisra’el for all their sins once a year. And he did as YAHUAH commanded את eth-Mosheh.


AND YAHUAH spoke unto Mo­sheh, saying, 2 Speak unto El-Aharon, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Yisra’el, and say unto them; This is the thing which YAHUAH has commanded, saying, 3 What man soever there be of the house of Yisra’el, that kills an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that kills it out of the camp, 4 And brings it not unto the door of the Tabernacle of the assembly, to offer an offering unto YAHUAH before the Tabernacle of YAHUAH; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people: 5 To the end that the children of Yisra’el may bring their sacrifices, which they offer את eth-in the open field, even that they may bring them unto YAHUAH, unto the door of the Tabernacle of the assembly, unto the priest, and offer them for peace offerings unto YAHUAH. 6 And the priest shall sprinkle את eth-the blood upon the altar of YAHUAH at the door of the Tabernacle of the assembly, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto YAHUAH. 7 And they shall no more offer את eth-their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute forever unto them throughout their generations.

8 And you shall say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Yisra’el, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offers a burnt offering or sacrifice, 9 And brings it not unto the door of the Tabernacle of the assembly, to offer it unto YAHUAH; even that man shall be cut off from among his people.

10 And whatsoever man there be of the house of Yisra’el, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eats any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eats את eth-the blood, and will cut him off from among his people. 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul. 12 Therefore I said unto the children of Yisra’el, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourns among you eat blood. 13 And whatsoever man there be of the children of Yisra’el, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunts and catches any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out את eth-the blood thereof, and cover it with dust. 14 For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Yisra’el, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eats it shall be cut off. 15 And every soul that eats that which died of itself, or that which was torn with beasts, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening: then shall he be clean. 16 But if he wash them not, nor bathe his flesh; then he shall bear his iniquity.


AND YAHUAH spoke unto Mo­sheh, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Yisra’el, and say unto them, I am YAHUAH ELOHAYKEM. 3 After the doings of the land of Mitsrayim, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Kena`an, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances. 4 Ye shall do את eth-my judgments, and guard את eth-my ordinances, to walk therein: I am YAHUAH ELOHAYKEM. 5 Ye shall therefore guard את eth-my statutes, and את eth-my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am YAHUAH.

6 None of you shall ap­proach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am YAHUAH. 7 The nakedness of your father, or the nakedness of your mother, shall you not uncover: she is your mother; you shall not uncover her nakedness. 8 The nakedness of your father's woman shall you not uncover: it is your father's nakedness. 9 The nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father, or daughter of your mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness you shall not uncover. 10 The nakedness of your son's daughter, or of your daughter's daughter, even their nakedness you shall not uncover: for theirs is your own nakedness. 11 The nakedness of your father's woman's daughter, begotten of your father, she is your sister, you shall not uncover her nakedness. 12 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's sister: she is your father's near kinswoman. 13 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister: for she is your mother's near kinswoman. 14 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's brother, you shall not approach to his woman: she is your aunt. 15 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter in law: she is your son's woman; you shall not uncover her nakedness. 16 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother's woman: it is your brother's nakedness. 17 You shall not uncover את eth-the nakedness of a woman and את eth-her daughter, neither shall you take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness. 18 Neither shall you take a woman to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time. 19 Also you shall not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness. 20 Moreover you shall not lie carnally with your neighbour's woman, to defile yourself with her. 21 And you shall not let any of your seed pass through the fire to Molek, neither shall you profane את eth-the name of your ELOHIYM: I am YAHUAH. 22 You shall not lie את eth-with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomina­tion. 23 Neither shall you lie with any beast to defile yourself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. 24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: 25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomits out את eth-her inhabitants. 26 Ye shall therefore guard את eth-my statutes and את eth-my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourns among you: 27 (For את eth-all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;) 28 That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out את eth-the nations that were before you. 29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abomina­tions, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people. 30 Therefore shall ye guard את eth-my ordinance, that ye commit not anyone of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am YAHUAH ELOHAYKEM.


HAFTARAH: Yekhezqel 22:1-19

MOREOVER the Word of YAHUAH came unto me, saying, 2 Now, son of Adam, will you judge, will you judge את eth-the bloody city? yea, you shall show her את eth all her abomina­tions. 3 Then say you, Thus says ADONAI YAHUAH, The city sheds blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and makes idols against herself to defile herself. 4 You are become guilty in your blood that you have shed; and have defiled yourself in your idols which you have made; and you have caused your days to draw near, and are come even unto your years: therefore have I made you a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries. 5 Those that be near, and those that be far from you, shall mock you, which are infamous and much vexed. 6 Behold, the princes of Yisra’el, everyone were in you to their power to shed blood. 7 In you have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of you have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in you have they vexed the fatherless and the widow. 8 You have despised my holy things, and have profaned את eth-my Shabbathot. 9 In you are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in you they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of you they commit lewdness. 10 In you have they discovered their fathers' nakedness: in you have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution. 11 And one has committed abomina­tion את eth-with his neighbour's woman; and את eth-another has lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and את eth-another in you has humbled his sister, his father's daughter. 12 In you have they taken gifts to shed blood; you have taken usury and increase, and you have greedily gained of your neighbours by extortion, and have forgotten me, says ADONAI YAHUAH.

13 Behold, therefore I have smitten my hand at your dishonest gain which you have made, and at your blood which has been in the midst of you. 14 Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with you? I YAHUAH have spoken it, and will do it. 15 And I will scatter you among the heathen, and disperse you in the countries, and will consume your filthiness out of you. 16 And you shall take your inheritance in yourself in the sight of the heathen, and you shall know that I am YAHUAH. 17 And the Word of YAHUAH came unto me, saying, 18 son of Adam, the house of Yisra’el is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver. 19 Therefore thus says ADONAI YAHUAH; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Yerushalayim.


BESORAH: Yahuchanon 7:1 – 10:21

AFTER these things YAHUSHA walked in Galiyl: for he would not walk in Yahudah,[ii] because the Yahudiym sought to kill him. 2 Now YAHUAH’S Feast of Cukkot, which the Yahudiym observed, was at hand. 3 And his brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Yahudah, that your Talmidiym also may see the works that you do. 4 For there is no man that does anything in secret, and he himself seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world. 5 For neither did his brethren believe in him. 6 Then YAHUSHA said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is always ready. 7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hates, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. 8 Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come. 9 When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galiyl.

10 But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. 11 Then the Yahudiym sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he? 12 And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceives the people. 13 Howbeit no man spoke openly of him for fear of the Yahudiym.

14 Now about the midst of the feast YAHUSHA went up into the Temple, and taught. 15 And the Yahudiym marvelled, saying, How knows this man the Scriptures, having never learned? 16 YAHUSHA answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of YAHUAH, or whether I speak of myself. 18 He that speaks of himself seeks his own glory: but he that seeks his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. 19 Did not Mosheh give you the Torah, and yet none of you keeps the Torah? Why go ye about to kill me? 20 The people answered and said, You have a devil: who goes about to kill you? 21 YAHUSHA answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel. 22 Mosheh therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Mosheh, but of the fathers;) and ye on the Shabbat circumcise a man. 23 If a man on the Shabbat receive circumcision, that the Torah of Mosheh should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the Shabbat? 24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. 25 Then said some of them of Yerushalayim, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill? 26 But, lo, he speaks boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very HAMASHIACH? 27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when HAMASHIACH comes, no man knows whence he is. 28 Then cried YAHUSHA in the Temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. 29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he has sent me. 30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come. 31 And many of the people believed on him, and said, When HAMASHIACH comes, will he do more miracles than these which this man has done?

32 The Parashiym heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Parashiym and the chief priests sent officers to take him. 33 Then said YAHUSHA unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. 34 Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come. 35 Then said the Yahudiym among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the other people, and teach the other people? 36 What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come? 37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, YAHUSHA stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believes on me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spoke he of the RUACH, which they that believe on him should receive: for the RUACH HAQODESH was not yet given; because that YAHUSHA was not yet glorified.)

40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet. 41 Others said, This is HAMASHIACH. But some said, Shall HAMASHIACH come out of Galiyl? 42 Has not the Scripture said, That HAMASHIACH comes of the seed of David, and out of the town of Beyt Lechem, where David was? 43 So there was a division among the people because of him. 44 And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.

45 Then came the officers to the chief priests and Parashiym; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him? 46 The officers answered, Never man spoke like this man. 47 Then answered them the Parashiym, Are ye also deceived? 48 Have any of the rulers or of the Parashiym believed on him? 49 But this people who knows not the Torah are cursed. 50 Niqodiymon said unto them, (he that came to YAHUSHA by night, being one of them,) 51 Does our Torah judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he does? 52 They answered and said unto him, Are you also of Galiyl? Search, and look: for out of Galiyl arises no prophet. 53 And every man went unto his own house.           


YAHUSHA went unto the Mount of Olives. 2 And early in the morning he came again into the Temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. 3 And the scribes and Parashiym brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Mosheh in the Torah commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what say you? 6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But YAHUSHA stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. 9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and YAHUSHA was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When YAHUSHA had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those your accusers? has no man condemned you? 11 She said, No man, ADONAI. And YAHUSHA said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more.

12 Then spoke YAHUSHA again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. 13 The Parashiym therefore said unto him, You bear record of yourself; your record is not true. 14 YAHUSHA answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go. 15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. 16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. 17 It is also written in your Torah, that the testimony of two men is true. 18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me bears witness of me. 19 Then said they unto him, Where is your Father? YAHUSHA answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. 20 These words spoke YAHUSHA in the treasury, as he taught in the Temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. 21 Then said YAHUSHA again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. 22 Then said the Yahudiym, Will he kill himself? because he says, Whither I go, ye cannot come. 23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. 25 Then said they unto him, Who are you? And YAHUSHA said unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning. 26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him. 27 They understood not that he spoke to them of the Father. 28 Then said YAHUSHA unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of Adam, then shall ye know that I am he and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things. 29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. 30 As he spoke these words, many believed on him. 31 Then said YAHUSHA to those Yahudiym which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my Talmidiym indeed; 32 And ye shall know את eth the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.

33 They answered him, We are Avraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how say you, Ye shall be made free? 34 YAHUSHA answered them, Amein, Amein, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant abides not in the house forever: but the Son abides ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. 37 I know that ye are Avraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word has no place in you.

38 I speak that את eth which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. 39 They answered and said unto him, Avraham is our father. YAHUSHA said unto them, If ye were Avraham’s children, ye would do the works of Avraham. 40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that has told you the Truth, which I have heard of YAHUAH: this did not Avraham. 41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even YAHUAH. 42 YAHUSHA said unto them, If YAHUAH were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from YAHUAH; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the Truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45 And because I tell you the Truth, ye believe me not. 46 Which of you convinces me of sin? And if I say the Truth, why do ye not believe me? 47 He that is of YAHUAH hears YAHUAH’S words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of YAHUAH. 48 Then answered the Yahudiym, and said unto him, Say we not well that you are a Shomeroniy, and have a devil? 49 YAHUSHA answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me. 50 And I seek not my own glory: there is one that seeks and judges. 51 Amein, Amein, I say unto you, If a man guards את eth-my word, he shall never see death. 52 Then said the Yahudiym unto him, Now we know that you have a devil. Avraham is dead, and the prophets; and you say, If a man guards את eth-my word, he shall never taste of death. 53 Are you greater than our father Avraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom do you make yourself? 54 YAHUSHA answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honours me; of whom ye say, that he is your ELOHIYM: 55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know EHYAH: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and guard את eth-his word. 56 Your father Avraham rejoiced to see את eth-my day: and he saw it, and was glad. 57 Then said the Yahudiym unto him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen את eth-Avraham? 58 YAHUSHA said unto them, Amein, Amein, I say unto you, Before Avraham was, EHYAH.[iii] 59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but YAHUSHA hid himself, and went out of the Temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.


AND as YAHUSHA passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2 And his Talmidiym asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 YAHUSHA answered, Neither has this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of YAHUAH should be made manifest in him. 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Shiloach,[iv] (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

8 The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? 9 Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he. 10 Therefore said they unto him, How were your eyes opened? 11 He answered and said, A man that is called YAHUSHA made clay, and anointed my eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Shiloach, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight. 12 Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.

13 They brought to the Parashiym him that aforetime was blind. 14 And it was the Shabbat when YAHUSHA made the clay, and opened his eyes. 15 Then again the Parashiym also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon my eyes, and I washed, and do see. 16 Therefore said some of the Parashiym, This man is not of YAHUAH, because he guards not the Shabbat. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them. 17 They say unto the blind man again, What say you of him, that he has opened your eyes? He said, He is a prophet. 18 But the Yahudiym did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight. 19 And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then does he now see? 20 His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: 21 But by what means he now sees, we know not; or who has opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself. 22 These words spoke his parents, because they feared the Yahudiym: for the Yahudiym had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was MASHIACH, he should be put out of the syna­gogue. 23 Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him. 24 Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give ELOHIYM the praise: we know that this man is a sinner. 25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see. 26 Then said they to him again, What did he to you? how opened he your eyes? 27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his Talmidiym? 28 Then they reviled him, and said, You are his Talmidiy; but we are Mosheh’s Talmidiym. 29 We know that YAHUAH spoke unto Mosheh: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is. 30 The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he has opened my eyes. 31 Now we know that YAHUAH hears not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of YAH, and does his will, him he hears. 32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. 33 If this man were not of YAH, he could do nothing. 34 They answered and said unto him, You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us? And they cast him out. 35 YAHUSHA heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Do you believe on the Son of ELOHIYM? 36 He answered and said, Who is he, ADONAI, that I might believe on him? 37 And YAHUSHA said unto him, You have both seen him, and it is he that talks with you. 38 And he said, ADONAI, I believe. And he worshipped him.

39 And YAHUSHA said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. 40 And some of the Parashiym which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? 41 YAHUSHA said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remains.


AMEIN, Amein, I say unto you, He that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he that enters in by the door is the Shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. 4 And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. 6 This parable spoke YAHUSHA unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spoke unto them. 7 Then said YAHUSHA unto them again, Amein, Amein, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the Good Shepherd: the Good Shepherd gives his life for the sheep. 12 But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees: and the wolf catches them, and scatters the sheep. 13 The hireling flees, because he is a hireling, and cares not for the sheep. 14 I am the Good Shepherd, and know my sheep, and את eth am known of mine. 15 As the Father knows me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one Shepherd. 17 Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18 No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command­ment have I received of my Father.

19 There was a division therefore again among the Yahudiym for these sayings. 20 And many of them said, He has a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him? 21 Others said, These are not the words of him that has a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
