Filato di lino?

Di recente, un amico dell'Eth Cepher ha posto la seguente domanda: “Ho guardato 1 Re 10:28. Ho dato uno sguardo all’ interlineare per vedere il paragone; Ho anche guardato l’app di Eth Cepher e ho visto che non è la stessa cosa e che la frase "il filato di lino" è stato aggiunto al testo. Perché dovreste aggiungere quando non c'è? Non dobbiamo aggiungere al testo originale. Per favore, spiegate la motivazione. “

“Non capisco da quale lingua. Ma l'inglese è ciò che conosco, ho appena iniziato a conoscere l'ebraico. Semplicemente non capisco perché la comunità di Cepher abbia aggiunto “filato di lino” o qualsiasi altra cosa a qualsiasi testo. Se non è presente, non dovremmo aggiungere al testo. Quando guardiamo questo versetto, troviamo qualcosa di piuttosto interessante, dato il contesto. Per capire meglio, è importante distinguere questa frase dalla maggior parte delle altre frasi contenenti la parola miqvah (מקוה).

Nell'uso comune in tutto il testo in Ivriyt (Ebraico) troviamo la parola (מקוה) miqvah (Strong’s H4724) che appare e, essendo il femminile di H4723, è interpretato come una "raccolta", cioè quella dell'acqua, come un serbatoio o un fossato. Tuttavia, la forma maschile miqvêh che si trova in Melekiym Ri’shon (1 Re) 10:28 e Divrei Hayamiym Sheniy (2 Cronache) 1:16 è interpretata come "filato di lino”.

Questo termine è preso dalla parola radice (קוה) qavah (Strong's H6960), che è la radice primitiva e che significa legare insieme (forse torcendo), cioè raccogliere; (in senso figurato) aspettare; riunire, guardare, pazientare, indugiare o aspettare.

Quindi, quando interpretiamo la parola correttamente come m'qavah, il significato sottostante deriva da "legare insieme", che probabilmente potrebbe significare o un “panno di lino” o un “filo di lino”. Tuttavia, il “legare insieme torcendo” produce la filatura, anziché il tessuto. Considera anche che il filato viene solitamente creato dal lino; così la torsione del lino creerebbe il filo e non il tessuto. Se non fosse legato e contorto insieme, sarebbe semplicemente lino, che in Ivriyt è (פשתה) pishtâh. Se fosse un panno di lino, la parola (בּגד) invocata sarebbe stata trovata.

Gli interpreti nel corso degli anni hanno interpretato questa particolare frase, tuttavia, come abbreviazione della frase completa miqvêʼlemma, che è stata corretta in (מקוה) miqveh, per creare comunque lo stesso significato, vale a dire, filato di lino.
