The Reign of the Throne of David

Divrei Hayamiym Ri’shon (I Chronicles) 14:1-2
NOW Chiyram king of Tsor sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build him an house. 2 And David perceived that YAHUAH had confirmed him king over Yisra’el, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Yisra’el.

As we look at this bit of discussion, an interesting prophetic understanding emerges.  First, let’s take a look at the passage:

Shemu’el Sheniy (2 Samuel) 5:1-5
THEN came all the tribes of Yisra’el to David unto Chevron, and spoke, saying, Behold, we are your bone and your flesh. 2 Also in time past, when Sha’ul was king over us, you were he that led out and brought in את (eth)-Yisra’el: and YAHUAH said to you, You shall feed my people את (eth)-Yisra’el, and you shall be a captain over Yisra’el. 3 So all the elders of Yisra’el came to the king to Chevron; and king David made a league with them in Chevron before YAHUAH: and they anointed את (eth)-David king over Yisra’el. 4 David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years. 5 In Chevron he reigned over Yahudah seven years and six months: and in Yerushalayim he reigned thirty and three years over all Yisra’el and Yahudah.

We have discussed previously the macro-fractal found in Dani’el 9:24, discussing seventy shevua be determined for the people Yisra’el, and the holy city, to end the transgression and so forth.  Under this view, the term shevua (a form of seven, or sevens) is interpreted as inferring the Jubilee cycle, i.e., seven sevens of years (plus the jubilee year), yielding a 3,500 year prophecy.  Let’s take a look at that time line again.

Timeline

The prophecy before us here has to do with the establishment not of David on his throne, but the establishment of the throne of David over the house of Yisra’el.  The house of Yisra’el entered the Holy Land on the first day of the 50th Jubilee (Yahusha 5:10).  The throne of David was established in MASHIACH at the end of the 80th Jubilee; which is to say that the throne of David was thirty Jubilee years old when MASHIACH began to reign, and MASHIACH would reign for forty Jubilee years (2,000 years – all of which would be in the wilderness, or diaspora).

Now let us see what the prophecy has to say if we consider a smaller fractal.  We have considered the cyclic concept of a day equals a year, the shevua being a sign for a Jubilee (seven sevens of years plus the Jubilee), a single year (signifying the annual celebration of sheva’oth – the feast of sevens) and Sheva’oth itself (seven sevens of days plus the 50th day of Sheva’oth).

Here is the operative portion of the prophetic passage:

Shemu’el Sheniy (2 Samuel) 5:4-5
David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years. 5 In Chevron he reigned over Yahudah seven years and six months: and in Yerushalayim he reigned thirty and three years over all Yisra’el and Yahudah.

Now let us consider a cycle that we have not considered before – namely, the decade.  We have heard of a week of years, a day equals a year, and so on, but have we considered the prophetic cycle as a set of decades?

In verse five, if we are discussing the throne of David (and not David on the throne), and we consider that years means decades, the wording infers the following, that the throne of David “reigned over Yahudah” seven decades and a half; “and in Yerushalayim,” thirty decades over all Yisra’el and Yahudah.

There are two words of prophecy relevant to this disposition (besides Daniel 9:24).

Tsephanyahu (Zephaniah) 2:7
And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Yahudah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for YAHUAH ELOHAYCHEM shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.

Zakaryahu (Zechariah) 12:7
YAHUAH also shall save the tents of Yahudah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Yerushalayim do not magnify themselves against Yahudah.

So, the question becomes: how long before the house of Yisra’el is reestablished with the house of Yahudah?  And maybe – just maybe – the answer is seven and half decades, or seventy-five years.  If our marker is the creation of the modern nation of Yisra’el in 1948, then 70 years are completed in 2017, and 75 years in 2022.  Thereafter, the house of Yisre’al will join the house of Yahudah in the land under a single kingdom under the throne of David for the next 33 decades (330 years).

Is there an event that would bring the house of Yisra’el back to the Holy Land somewhere in the middle of that?  Consider that Dani’el 9:24 might be a prophecy concerning the anointing of the Third Temple:

Dani’el (Daniel) 9:24
For seventy shavua cut off are the people from the holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the holy Qodeshiym.

Now, you do not see any mention of the word MASHIACH in this verse.  This prophecy appears to be consider with anointing the “holy Qodeshiym,” or in the Hebrew, the qodesh qodeshiym. Take a look at this passage in the book of Bemidbar:

Bemidbar (Numbers) 4:19
But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto את-eth the most holy things: Aharon and his sons shall go in, and appoint them everyone to his service and to his burden:

This phrase את-eth the most holy things, is in the Hebrew eth qodesh qodeshiym, the same phrase we find at the end of Dani’el 9:24.  (See below).

הקדשׁים   קדשׁ את

The prophecy therefore appears to be a prophecy concerning the construction of a new temple which would by necessity contain a holiest of holies, or qodesh qodeshiym

So, together, we see a prophecy that indicates that the third temple would be constructed 70 years following the replanting of the tents of Yahudah in the Holy Land.  The temple would suffer the end of the oblation long enough to accommodate the man of lawlessness and his declaration within the holiest of holies, and the subsequent destruction of him and his army, yet would survive until the return of the whole of the house of Yisra’el to the land, some five years later.

All in all, it should be a very interesting set of years.

May 19 Ivriym (Hebrews) 4:13-16 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to give account. 14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Yahusha the Son of Elohiym, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not a High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
