Receive ye the Ruach Ha'Qodesh

As discussed previously, we at the Eth Cepher hold to the proposition that the Brit Chadasha was conceived initially in the Ivriyt, and for whatever reason, translated into the Greek and the Aramaic.

We are going to take a look at a couple of passages, therefore, which we read in the English, but which may be interpreted back into the Ivriyt.

Mattithyahu (Matthew) 7:7-8
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For everyone that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

Mattithyahu (Matthew) 10:40-41
He that receives you receives me, and he that receives me receives him את eth that sent me. 41 He that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.

Mattithyahu (Matthew) 11:14-15
And if ye will receive it, this is Eliyahu, which was for to come. 15 He that has ears to hear, let him hear.

Marqus (Mark) 9:37
Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receives me: and whosoever shall receive me, receives not me, but him that sent me.

Marqus (Mark) 10:14-15
But when Yahusha saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the Kingdom of Yahuah. 15 Amein I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive את eth-the Kingdom of Yahuah as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

Luqas (Luke) 9:48
And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receives me: and whosoever shall receive me receives him that sent me: את eth for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

Luqas (Luke) 11:9-10
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For everyone that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

Luqas (Luke) 18:17
Amein I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive את eth-the Kingdom of Yahuah as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

Ma’asiym (Acts) 2:37-41
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Kepha and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Kepha said unto them, Repent, and be immersed every one of you in the name of Yahuah-Yahusha for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Ruach Ha’Qodesh. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as Yahuah Elohaynu shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this perverse nation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were immersed: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Ma’asiym (Acts) 7:57-59
Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, 58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Sha’ul. 59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon Yahuah, and saying, Adonai Yahusha, receive my ruach.

Ma’asiym (Acts) 8:14-19
Now when the apostles which were at Yerushalayim heard that Shomeron had received the Word of Yahuah, they sent unto them Kepha and Yochanon: 15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Ruach Ha’Qodesh: 16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were immersed in the name of Adonai Yahusha.) 17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Ruach Ha’Qodesh. 18 And when Shim`on saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Ruach Ha’Qodesh was given, he offered them money, 19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Ruach Ha’Qodesh.

Romayim (Romans) 15:5-7
Now the Yah of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Mashiach Yahusha: 6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify Yah, even the Father of our Adonai Yahusha Ha’Mashiach. 7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Mashiach also received us to the glory of Yahuah.

Qolasiym (Colossians) 2:6
As ye have therefore received את eth-Mashiach את eth Yahusha our Adonai, so walk ye in him:

Yochanon (John) 1:11-12
He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of Yahuah, even to them that believe on his name:

Yochanon (John) 20:22
And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said unto them, Receive ye the Ruach Ha’Qodesh:

So, what do these verses have in common? For the reader of the Ivriyt, I have highlighted each applicable passage in bold.

Mishlei (Proverbs) 19:20
Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter end.

The Ivriyt word isolated in all of these passages is the word qabal.  The primitive root qabal (קבל)(Strong's H6901) is generally construed as meaning to admit, i.e. take (literally or figuratively): to choose, to take hold of, to receive, or to undertake.

Mishlei 19:20 [Transliterated]
Shema (hear) etsa (counsel) v’qabal (and receive) musar (instruction) l’ma’an (to the end that) t’chokem (you may be wise or have wisdom) b’acharith’ka (in the ending of you)

To receive in the Ivriyt is to qabal, and that act of receiving is qabalah.

Something to think about, eh? I began this journey looking for the Torah edict, the mitsvah, or the choq that bans, prohibits, or dismisses the idea of receiving or taking hold of the Word of Yahuah, and to be a receiver thereof.  But, instead of finding a prohibition, what I found was the constant repetition of receiving as the commands and the actions of the Mashiach and his Apostles.

Yochanon (John) 1:11 spells it out in the Ivriyt: Hu bo b’shel’u u’asher ha’mah lu lo qabalahiHe came unto his own, and his own received him not.

We often shake our heads at the Jews who missed the coming of Mashiach, even though he said to them “I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.” Yochanon 5:43. Part of the reason they missed him has to do with the ineffable name doctrine – another prohibition not found in scripture anywhere (in fact, just the opposite is true). They never pronounced the name of Yahuah, and they therefore did not recognize it in the name Yahusha.

Yet how quick the world is to pounce and denounce, to stone and to dismember the very idea of qabalah, when it is found only 9 times in the Tanakh, but found repeatedly in the gospels (Besor’oth), in Ma’asiym (the book of Acts) and the writings of the disciples in the Brit Chadasha (New Testament).

As it is written:

Yochanon (John) 16:1-3
THESE את eth things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. 2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time comes, that whosoever kills you will think that he does Yahuah service. 3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

So, when Mashiach breathed on his disciples in his glorified body and said to them: “qabali eth Ruach Ha’Qodesh” (קבלו את רוח הקודש), is that or is that not worthy of condemnation? You who are quick to sling the stones need to answer this question. Before you answer, consider the following:

Luqas (Luke) 12:10
And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of A’dam, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemes against the Ruach Ha’Qodesh it shall not be forgiven.

The Book of Jasher | The Veracity of the Cepher Yashar

Genetics in Scripture
