PARASHAT: Yahusha 24:1-14
AND Yahusha gathered את eth-all the tribes of Yisra’el to Shekem, and called for the elders of Yisra’el, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers; and they presented themselves before ELOHIYM. 2 And Yahusha said unto all the people, Thus says YAHUAH ELOHIYM of Yisra’el, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terach, the father of Avraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other elohiym. 3 And I took את eth-your father את eth-Avraham from the other side of the flood, and led him throughout all the land of Kena`an, and multiplied את eth-his seed, and gave him את eth-Yitschaq. 4 And I gave unto Yitschaq את eth-Ya`aqov and את eth-Esau: and I gave unto Esau את eth-Mount Se`iyr, to possess it; but Ya`aqov and his children went down into Mitsrayim. 5 I sent את eth-Mosheh also and את eth-Aharon, and I plagued את eth-Mitsrayim, according to that which I did among them: and afterward I brought you out. 6 And I brought את eth-your fathers out of Mitsrayim: and ye came unto the sea; and the Mitsriym pursued after your fathers with chariots and horsemen unto the Red Sea. 7 And when they cried unto EL-YAHUAH, he put darkness between you and the Mitsriym, and brought את eth-the sea upon them, and covered them; and your eyes have seen את eth what I have done in Mitsrayim: and ye dwelt in the wilderness a long season. 8 And I brought you into the land of the Emoriym, which dwelt on the other side Yarden; and they fought with you: and I gave them into your hand, that ye might possess את eth-their land; and I destroyed them from before you. 9 Then Balaq the son of Tsippor, king of Mo’av, arose and warred against Yisra’el, and sent and called Bil`am the son of Be`or to curse you: 10 But I would not hearken unto Bil`am; therefore he blessed you still: so I delivered you out of his hand. 11 And ye went over את eth-Yarden, and came unto Yeriycho: and the men of Yeriycho fought against you, the Emoriym, and the Perizziym, and the Kena`aniym, and the Chittiym, and the Girgashiym, the Chivviym, and the Yevuciym; and I delivered them into your hand. 12 And I sent את eth-the hornet before you, which drove them out from before you, even the two kings of the Emoriym; but not with your sword, nor with your bow. 13 And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.
14 Now therefore fear את eth-YAHUAH, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away את eth-the elohiym which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Mitsrayim; and serve ye את eth-YAHUAH.
HAFTARAH: Yeshayahu 9:1-7
NEVERTHELESS the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zevulun and the land of Naphtaliy, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Yarden, in Galiyl of the nations. 2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them has the light shined. 3 You have multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before you according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil. 4 For you have broken את eth-the yoke of his burden, and את eth-the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midyan. 5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire. 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The Mighty EL, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of YAHUAH TSEVA’OT will perform this.
BESORAH: Mattithyahu 1:1-25
THE cepher of the generation of YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH, the son of David, the son of Avraham. 2 Avraham begat את eth-Yitschaq; and Yitschaq begat את eth-Ya`aqov; and Ya`aqov begat את eth-Yahudah and את eth-his brethren; 3 And Yahudah begat את eth-Perets[i] and את eth-Zerach[ii] of Tamar;[iii] and Perets begat את eth-Chetsron;[iv] and Chetsron begat את eth-Aram; 4 And Aram begat את eth-Ammiynadav;[v] and Ammiynadav begat את eth-Nachshon;[vi] and Nachshon begat את eth-Salmah; 5 And Salmah begat את eth-Bo`az[vii] of Rachav; and Bo`az begat את eth-Oved of Ruth; and Oved begat את eth-Yishai; 6 And Yishai begat את eth-David the king; and David the king begat את eth-Shalomah of her that had been the woman of Uriyahu;[viii] 7 And Shalomah begat את eth-Rechav`am;[ix] and Rechav`am begat את eth-Aviyahu;[x] and Aviyahu begat את eth-Aca; 8 And Aca begat את eth-Yahushaphat;[xi] and Yahushaphat begat את eth-Yoram; and Yoram begat את eth Uzziyahu;[xii] 9 And Uzziyahu begat את eth-Yotham;[xiii] and Yotham begat את eth-Achaz; and Achaz begat את eth-Yechizqiyahu;[xiv] 10 And Yechizqiyahu begat את eth-Menashsheh;[xv] and Menashsheh begat את eth-Amon; and Amon begat את eth-Yo’shiyahu;[xvi] 11 And Yo’shiyahu begat את eth-Yekonyahu[xvii] and את eth-his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babel: 12 And after they were brought to Babel, Yekonyahu את eth begat She’altiy’el;[xviii] and She’altiy’el begat את eth-Zerubbavel;[xix] 13 And Zerubbavel begat את eth-Aviyhud;[xx] and Aviyhud begat את eth-Elyaqiym; and Elyaqiym begat את eth Azzur;[xxi] 14 And Azzur begat את eth-Tsadoq;[xxii] and Tsadoq begat את eth-Yoqiym;[xxiii] and Yoqiym begat את eth-El’ayil;[xxiv] 15 And El’ayil begat את eth-El`azar; and El`azar begat את eth-Matthan; and Matthan begat את eth-Ya`aqov; 16 And Ya`aqov begat את eth-Yoceph the father of Miryam,[xxv] of whom was born YAHUSHA, who is called MASHIACH. 17 So all the generations from Avraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babel are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babel unto HAMASHIACH are fourteen generations.
18 Now the birth of YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH was on this wise: When as his mother Miryam was espoused to Yoceph, before they came together, she was found with child of the RUACH HAQODESH.[xxvi] 19 Then Yoceph her man, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of YAHUAH appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Yoceph, son of David, fear not to take unto you את eth Miryam your woman: for that which is conceived in her is of the RUACH HAQODESH. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name YAHUSHA: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of YAHUAH by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Immanu’el,[xxvii] which being interpreted is, our EL is with us. 24 Then Yoceph being raised from sleep did as the angel of YAHUAH had bidden him, and took unto him his woman: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name YAHUSHA.
