The fall of Satan to the earth

Recently, a friend of the את Cepher asked the question: If the 1260 day war in heaven started on Sept 23 2017... and Satan is about to be kicked out of heaven, cast to the earth... what does that mean... practically... for us living through this time?

This is a great question that has concerned me since first discussing this timeline.  Before answering, let’s take a look at the underlying scripture that delivers this timeline.

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. 3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. 5 And she brought forth a male child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto Elohiym, and to his throne.
Chizayon (Revelation) 12:1-5

On the 20th of November 2016, the planet Jupiter entered the torso area of the constellation Virgo, the Virgin. Historically, Jupiter is referred to as ‘The King Planet’ by many cultures.  In Ivriyt, Jupiter is called tsaddîyq which means righteous. In the Cepher, we set forth the name Malkiy־Tsedeq, which can mean the king of righteousness, or better stated, King and  High Priest.

Because tsaddiyq (Jupiter) is seen entering the womb, we have a sign in the heavens of the conception of the King of Righteousness entering the womb of the Virgin.  However, while in exile on the island of Patmos, Yochanon (John the Revelator) was given this vision in the first century, well after the birth of Mashiach.

Now after entering Virgo’s womb, the planet Jupiter appeared to the observer to move in retrograde. Such motion is as a result of Earth’s elliptical orbit, which causes Jupiter to appear to move back and forth within Virgo’s womb for a period of 9 months, 2 weeks and 6 days… which is 41 weeks, or 293 days total, and is the normal gestation or period of time between conception and birth for the development of a human baby.  On the 9th of September 2017, Tsaddiyq-Jupiter, the planetary sign of the Righteous King, was birthed by exiting from in between the legs of Virgo.

Two weeks later, on the 23rd of September 2017, the Revelation 12 Sign appeared in the heavens - the constellation Virgo was clothed in the Sun, with the Moon at her feet, and above her head were a crown of 12 stars comprised of the 9 stars in the constellation of Leo the Lion of Judah, and the 3 planets Mercury, Mars and Venus.  Equally true, the constellation Draco – the dragon – sat at her feet preparing to devour the male child.

One of the difficulties concerning this date of this sign has to do with the Feast Days of scripture.  In 2017, September 21st was Yom Teruah or Rosh Hashanah on the Jewish calendar – not September 23rd. How is this relevant to a sign in the heavens?

Speak unto the children of Yashar’el, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a male child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean. 3 And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.
Vayiqra (Leviticus) 12:2-3

So the presentation of the male child is on the eighth day.  This sign then shows the presentment of the male child, symbolized in heaven on the 23rd of September, on October 1, 2017, which was Yom Kippur. This then is the beginning of the days referenced in Chizayon:

And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared of Elohiym, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Chizayon (Revelation) 12:6

October 1, 2017 rolls out 1,260 days to the 13th of March 2021.  On the Gregorian calendar we nothing of any importance, but on the scriptural calendar (as set forth in the Yom Qodesh), the 13th of March is 1 Aviv – the first day of the new year. It is at this point that we  can expect the next portion of the prophecy to continue:

And there was war in heaven: Miyka’el and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found anymore in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Chizayon (Revelation) 12:7-9

So it is only after these 1,260 days that we see the great dragon (δράκων drákōn) cast out, who is identified as that old serpent (οφις ο αρχαιος – serpent of old) which is called the Devil (διάβολος diábolos) and also called Satan (Σατανᾶς Satanâs).

To obtain a little more understanding on this, let’s see if we can find the same in the Ivriyt (Hebrew):

Dragon: (תַּנִּין tannîyn)

Serpent: (נָחָשׁ nâchâsh)

Devil: (שָׂעִיר sâʻîyr) [he goat]; (שֵׁד shed; plural שדים shediym)

Satan: (שָׂטָן sâṭân) [the adversary]

Ophis o archaios (οφις ο αρχαιος) is interpreted as that old serpent or the serpent of old. But this word ophis is worthy of a longer look. Strong's G3789 gives us the following meaning for this word, stating that it is probably from G3700 (through the idea of sharpness of vision).  Before we go beyond that, let’s go down the etymological rabbit trail.

G3700 is the word ὀπτάνομαι optanomai which is a (middle voice) prolonged form of the primary (middle voice) of the word ὄπτομαι óptomai op'-tom-ahee; which is used for it in certain tenses;

Optomai is both an alternate of G3708, which is ὁράω horáō, meaning, to stare at (compare G3700), i.e. (by implication) to discern clearly (physically or mentally); by extension, to attend to; by Hebraism, to experience involuntarily; and G991 βλέπω blépō, which means to look at voluntarily (literally or figuratively): to behold, beware, lie, look (on, to), perceive, regard, see, sight, to take heed.

G1492 expresses merely mechanical, passive or casual vision;

G2300 is still more emphatically its intensive,

G2334 signifies an earnest but more continued inspection; and

G4648 is watching from a distance.

So, while the common interpretation is serpent, the much better descriptive is watcher! The passage would describe that watcher of old!

Now, let’s take a look at how this interpretation changes doctrines you readily recognize in the Brit Chadasha (NT).

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as Watchers, and harmless as doves.
Mattithyahu (Matthew) 10:16

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall cast out the Watchers; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Marqus (Mark) 16:17-18

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on Watchers (ophis) and Sceptics (skopos), and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luqas (Luke) 10:19

Neither let us tempt Mashiach, as some of them also tempted Yahuah, and were destroyed by Watchers.
Qorintiym Ri’shon (1 Corinthians) 10:9

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent Watcher beguiled Chuah through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Mashiach.
Qorintiym Sheniy (2 Corinthians) 11:3

And the great dragon was cast out, that old Watcher, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Chizayon (Revelation) 12:9

And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent Watcher.
Chizayon (Revelation) 12:14

And the serpent Watcher cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
Chizayon (Revelation) 12:15

Possible? I think so.
