On QOLASIYM: Chapter 3 - Part One

We begin to see the foundation of understanding as to the point being made by Sha’ul in all of this, which is found in Chapter 3 of Qolasiym.  Let’s begin.

Qolasiym (Colossians) 3:1

If ye then be risen with HAMASHIACH, seek את eth those things which are above, where HAMASHIACH sits on the right hand of YAHUAH.

There is so much in this passage, most of which is out of reach for us here.  When we consider this idea of rising with HAMASHIACH, we find those things which are above, and as described in the first two chapters of this letter, these things of the Rosh (the Head) which are knowledge (da’ath), understanding (binah), and wisdom (chokmah). Further, Sha’ul tells us that HAMASHIACH sits on the right hand of YAHUAH. Is this ascension of MASHIACH discussed elsewhere? Consider this writing:

And I heard the voice of EL ELYON, the Father of my ADONAI, saying to my ADONAI MASHIACH who will be called YAHUSHA: 8 “Go forth and descend through all the heavens, and you will descend to the firmament and that world: to the angel in Sheol you will descend, but to Haguel you will not go. 9 And you will become like unto the likeness of all who are in the five heavens. 10 And you will be careful to become like the form of the angels of the firmament [and the angels also who are in Sheol]. 11 And none of the angels of that world shall know that you are with me of the seven heavens and of their angels. 12 And they shall not know that you are with Me, till with a loud voice I have called (to) the heavens, and their angels and their lights, (even) unto the sixth heaven, in order that you may judge and destroy the princes and angels and gods of that world, and the world that is dominated by them: 13 For they have denied Me and said: “We alone are and there is none beside us.” 14 And afterwards from the angels of death you will ascend to your place. And you will not be transformed in each heaven, but in glory will you ascend and sit on My right hand.

This concept, as I described earlier, is explained visually in the letter aleph (א), where the yod (י - the hand) in the infinite is divided by a vav (ו - the nail), from the yod (י - the hand) in the finite, which is HAMASHIACH sitting at the right hand of the Father.

However, the verse says that if ye then be risen with HAMASHIACH . . . this can only be understood as a spiritual condition - a condition of the soul - for the flesh remains on earth.  We will discuss the conditions of the risen soul in Part Two.
