On QOLASIYM: Chapter 1 - Part Four

The mystery discussing the radiances of both the head and the body continues.

Qolasiym (Colossians) 1:18

And he is the head of the body, the called out assembly: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Now we saw the head in a bit of diagram in Part Two, which we may call ELOHIYM – the singular YAH (echad) manifested in a plurality of knowledge (da’ath), wisdom (chokmah) and understanding (binah).  Yes, we can see that he is the beginning, but what is meant by the firstborn of the dead, if not the light entering into the void and the darkness?  For it is when the light enters into the darkness that creation begins, and that life first appears.

Qolasiym (Colossians) 1:19-22

For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell; 20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. 21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciled 22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

We enter now into the heart of the mystery, all of which hinges on a singular concept. Before we reach that concept however, let us consider that it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell.  The Father here is the eternal YAH Ayn Soph – the I AM without end (although he goes unnamed and without boundaries).  All of the fullness of creation then dwells in YAHUSHA YAHUAH.  Let us now consider the concept of vicarious atonement:

Vayiqra (Leviticus) 17:11

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul.

Let’s see if we can spell out these concepts:

1. Blood makes an atonement for the soul.

2. YAHUAH has given this blood upon the altar!

3.  Life of the flesh is in the blood.

The blood given on the altar to make an atonement for our souls is the blood of MASHIACH, given by YAHUAH from the foundation of the world. 

Following this discourse, we go back into establishing the credibility of Sha’ul:

Qolasiym (Colossians) 1:23

If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the Besorah, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Sha’ul am made a minister; 24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of HAMASHIACH in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the called out assembly: 25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the stewardship of YAH which is given to me for you, to fulfil the Word of YAHUAH;

If this passage had included only: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the Besorah, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; then we would have a statement consistent with the rest of the writing herein; except that we have the claim here that the Besorah was preached to every creature which is under heaven! What is meant by this?

Romayim (Romans) 1:19-20

Because that which may be known of YAH is manifest in them; for YAHUAH has showed it unto them. 20 For from the creation of the world, the invisible things of YAH are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and divinity; so that they are without excuse:

Tehilliym (Psalms) 19:1-6

The heavens enumerate the glory of EL; and the firmament shows his handywork. 2 Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night shows knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them has he set a tabernacle for the sun, 5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoices as a strong man to run a race. 6 His going forth is from the end of the heavens, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

Qolasiym (Colossians) 1:26-27

Even the mystery (yahsod) which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his qodeshiym: 27 To whom YAHUAH would make known what is the riches of the glory (tiferah) of this mystery (yahsod) among the other people; which is HAMASHIACH in you, the hope of glory

The mystery which is revealed is that HAMASHIACH is in you, the hope of glory.  This is the merger of the soul with the soul of the Or Ayn Soph / Or Ha’aretz.  We complete this chapter with more discussion of Sha’ul:

Qolasiym (Colossians) 1:28-29

Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH: 29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which works in me mightily.

As we conclude this discussion on chapter one, let us review the mystery and how it is set out.  We have first the Rosh (head), which is represented by the crowning will of YAHUAH (kether), knowledge (da’ath), understanding (binah), and wisdom (chokmah). Following this being revealed, we find four of the seven radiances of YAH held in the Guph (body) – strength (gevurah); majesty (hod); patience (chesed); and longsuffering (netzach).  Lining up in accord with Or Ha’aretz, we find the beauty (tiferah), the mystery (yahsod), and the kingdom (malchut).

And so, the properties of the mystery is revealed.
