Much has been taught on the dispersion of the ten tribes of the northern kingdom.  Why were the northern tribes driven from the land?  Verse 3 tells us that the wicked kings of the northern kingdom forced their subjects to commit sin against YAHUAH:

Baruk Sheniy (2 Baruk) 1:2-3a
Have you seen all that this people are doing to me, that the evils which these two tribes which remained have done are greater than those of the ten tribes which were carried away captive? 3 For the former tribes were forced by their kings to commit sin,

What can be said about the state of the leadership in the northern kingdom?  I can tell that from the get go, it was not good.  Yarov`am (Jeraboam) the first king of Yashar'el caused the kingdom of Yashar'el to stray from YAHUAH by rejecting YAH'S Torah and setting up a false priesthood and the worshipping of the two calves.

Melekiym Ri'shon (1 Kings) 12:25-31
Then Yarov`am built את eth-Shekem in Mount Ephrayim, and dwelt therein; and went out from thence, and built את eth-Penu’el. 26 And Yarov`am said in his heart, Now shall the kingdom return to the house of David: 27 If this people go up to do sacrifice in the house of YAHUAH at Yerushalayim, then shall the heart of this people turn again unto their lord, even unto Rechav`am king of Yahudah, and they shall kill me, and go again to Rechav`am king of Yahudah. 28 Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Yerushalayim: behold your elohiym, O Yashar’el, which brought you up out of the land of Mitsrayim. 29 And he set את eth-the one in Beyt-EL, and the other put he את eth-in Dan. 30 And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan. 31 And he made את eth-a house of high places, and made priests of the lowest of the people, which were not of the sons of Leviy.

Yarov`am not only multiplied Yashar'el's sins, the following Scripture below declares he "showed Ephrayim the way of sin".

Sirach (Ecclesiasticus) 47:23b-24
There was also Yarov`am the son of Nevat, who caused Yashar’el to sin, and showed Ephrayim the way of sin: 24 And their sins were multiplied exceedingly, that they were driven out of the land.

Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) tells us in chapter 3 that YAHUAH issued "a cepher of divorce" to the Northern House which concludes that Yashar'el was cut off from the covenant because of their unrepentant, stubborn, sinful heart and practices.

Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 3:8
And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Yashar’el broke wedlock I had put her away, and given her את eth-a cepher of divorce;

Melekiym Sheniy (2 Kings) 17:15-18
And they rejected את eth-his statutes, and את eth-his covenant that he cut with את eth-their fathers, and את eth his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom YAHUAH had charged them, that they should not do like them. 16 And they left את eth-all the commandments of YAHUAH ELOHAYHEM, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made an Asherah pole, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served את eth-Ba`al. 17 And they caused את eth-their sons and את eth-their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of YAHUAH, to provoke him to anger. 18 Therefore YAHUAH was very angry with Yashar’el, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Yahudah only.

In conclusion, even though Ephrayim (which represents the northern kingdom) was in gross sin and was eventually divorced by YAHUAH, there is redemption and a re-grafting in if they will turn and repent.

Let us hear the words of MASHIACH to his Talmidiym:

Mattithyahu (Matthew) 10:5-6
These twelve YAHUSHA sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the other nations, and into any city of the Shomeroniym enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Yashar’el.

Keep digging for the Truth.
